Ok I know its been ages since I last posted here. So I thought I would make a brief appearance.

Went to my best friends wedding this past weekend. Never been in the main wedding party before. Got to take care of the groom and his brother (also a groomsman) the night before because we all went out to the bar. It was weird to see him make that commitment. Its weird to think that my two best friends from HS are now married with children.

In other news…

I finally got out of the dorms (yeah I still call them dorms even after all the pressure to call them residence halls *sticks toungue out* ) Now living in a house on Pierre. 6 of us all together and a definate step up from the house I was in over the summer (no waterfalls from the walls when it rains etc…) and I have a big desk now to help house my 3 computers… yeah my laptop, dell desktop and a G3 Macintosh I got from leftovers at work (yeah and I dont actually mind OS X that much now *shrug*…. even though I still prefer Windows… well for most things not involving graphics )

work in progress….

I am now putting together my own webspace that will eventually be available at dylman.com right now it is password locked until I get things secured so that someone doesnt destroy my SQL database I am using. But eventually there should be my own blog engine running (no more blogger or Xanga!) It will be a continuing work as I try to figure out CSS. But for now you can view a few pictures I have taken with a digital camera I borrow from work at dylman.com/gallery Till next time…
Dylan “the green dart” Stewart signing off

Ok so I am sitting at work and finally get my laptop where I want it again. For some reason you can’t upgrade from XP home to XP Pro without uninstalling SP2… but my new laptop has SP2 built in (aka can’t remove it)… Because of this the installation disk seems to think that the XP home on my computer is newer than XP Pro on the disk… End up having to call Dell and getting the install disks for the drivers and media software they put on at the plant then do a format and reinstall. (with all the software I have put on my lappy it took me about 10 hours of installation to get it back where it was… maybe longer…) Ok now back to the present and something interesting. At work here we are all Mac (so Lappy rules them all!!) but I start to wonder if one of those handicapped one button mouses will work on my MegaSuperior PC. so I plug it in and nothing happens… no movement nothing… Then when I almost gave up Lappy tells me that there is new homework edit I mean hardware /edit found.. “Human Interface Device Found” and after about 30 seconds of thinking Lappy figures out that I dared to connect it to a mac piece of hardware and it works (minus the missing button). So now I have a Human Interface Device. I’m Guessing that this is Billy’s way to be politically correct with Mac… To me it says… “An Item That Is Supposed To Help You With Your Computer Has Dared To Touch Me But Because I Am So AWESOME I Will Let You Get Away With It” I guess he didn’t want that big message on the screen.?..?

In other news my coworker is looking at rodent/dogs. Something about some half weenie half chihuahua half red fire ant. that only gets to be at most 2 lbs. But then again it cant chew on shoes because its mouth isnt big enough.. and the fear of getting stepped on and squished like a packing bubble… oh and this is “for her boyfriend” even though he wants an actual dog (even though its a intelectually inferior lab….. Border Collies RULE).

Relating past/present relationships to sound of Seth Lofgreen blaring in my ears and a background of water pelting canvas as I made my way to class this morning. As I thought to myself… These are the days to live for. When else in my life am I going to be able to explore who I really am. When else will I be able to go to sonic with a group of friends and play on the playground. (I loved the 25 cent helicopter… barely fit in it though…) When else will I be able to just get up and drive 2 hours for a double date with a friend.

Don’t get me wrong… I am really busy with class and work and the such… but at the same time I feel so free. There will always be things that you dont like to do and people you dont want to deal with. The important thing is to look at the opportunities you do have and take them when they present themselves…

Yeah I haven’t posted in forever… Anyways here we go again
Went to Topeka last weekend to see Tammy. Got to watch the “bods”(Washburn) go against the “Ore Diggers”(Colorado School of Mines) In the end Colorado won. Both teams had a poor show of defense. In the end Colorado finally stopped washburn to hold their lead. So apart from my now pealing sunburn the only other part of the game was the band which I thought was fairly impressive (Tammy included of course). Then we went to Lawrence to see the Awesomely wicked great movie Napoleon Dynamite. (after only a few problems finding the way around the tollway) Hard to say what the story line was… but it was hilarious. Next got woken up by a fire alarm… (ok so I should have been out of bed already…) Then got ready to go eat lunch and the fire alarm went off again… anywho… Finally went out to eat a Bennigans. I STRONGLY suggest The Monte Cristo sandwich. hmmmmm… now im hungry… Well enough for now. Hopefully I will keep posting regularly (so Carson will stay off my back lol)
